Opal Stork Home Care was born out of a deeply personal mission—one rooted in generations of care, love, and unwavering dedication to others. Our founder, Sandra, a Registered Nurse with a master's in nursing, was inspired by the gentle hands and healing spirit of her grandmother in Jamaica—a wise midwife, herbalist, and community healer who cared for her village long before formal training was required. It was from her that Sandra learned the true meaning of compassion, service, and selflessness.

At Opal Stork, every act of service is a tribute to that legacy.

The name itself holds meaning: “Opal” symbolizes the passion that fuels our work, while “Stork” represents delivery —of comfort, support, and peace of mind to the families we serve. We don't just provide care—we deliver it with heart.

What We Do
Opal Stork Home Care is a Connecticut-based, in-home care agency proudly serving seniors and individuals with special needs. We specialize in homemaker-companion services, including:

•    Personal care & companionship
•    Light housekeeping and meal prep
•    Mobility assistance 
•    Support with hoarding and lifestyle transitions
•    Emotional support and everyday encouragement

Each client receives monthly in-person supervisory visits, both scheduled and unannounced, to ensure the highest standard of service. Our dedicated client coordinator actively oversees the caregivers and works closely with families to adapt to changing needs and concerns.

But we go beyond the basics—because we believe that care is more than a checklist. It's about walking beside someone during vulnerable moments and making sure they're treated with dignity, respect, and love.
